Sending Parcels to Canada? Canada Post has suspended operations across the country

Canada Post has suspended operations across the country following 12 days of rotating strikes carried out by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. The suspension of service is effective immediately, as of June 15th. UPS is capable of handling some additional volume within Canada and all international shipments either going into or out of Canada. Shipments to some rural postal codes in Canada cannot be delivered or picked up. Refer to the link below for postal code ranges normally delivered/picked up by Canada Post on behalf of UPS. Shipments to these destinations only represent approximately 1% of Canada’s total delivery volume. Imports to Canada – Any shipments to the destinations delivered by CPC will be held at the Canadian UPS port of entry for the duration of the strike and will receive the exception RY – LABOR ACTION. Pick-ups – Pick-up service from the affected postal codes will be suspended for the duration of the strike. Deliveries – Any shipments to the destinations delivered by CPC will be held in the Canadian UPS hubs for the duration of the strike and will receive the exception RY – LABOR ACTION.
