A strike of the ATC and airport staff in Portugal has been called for the hours 07:00-09:00, 14:00-16:00 and 21:00-23:00 on 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th of May. UPS is working to avoid any impact on our services, but there is a possibility of some delays in import and export on these dates.

A road transport sector strike called by the organization FETRANSA in Spain from Sunday 29 April 2012 to Sunday 6 May 2012 inclusive, might cause collection and delivery disruptions in some parts of the country.

During the strike UPS will continue to operate but collection and delivery disruptions may occur.

The Romanian Government has announced that Monday 30 April 2012 will be a holiday for all local authority institutions.

Operations in Romania will be affected as follows-

Customs Authorities will be on holiday. This means that delays are expected in processing all import and export non-EU shipments.

With many institutions being closed, delays are also expected for certain deliveries.

A 48 hour strike of the Marine Federation is planned from today, Tuesday April 10 2012 in Greece.

Due to this strike, all ports of Greece will remain closed and no volume will be forwarded from/to all Islands.

Korea Customs (KCS) has announced the postponement of its Advance Manifest System (AMS) implementation to 01 April 2012. AMS is initiated to improve monitoring high-risk of import and transit cargo prior to arrival and to promote seamless distribution of cargo. In view of that, Shippers are reminded on the importance of providing their Invoice declaration data early or on time, and Invoice goods description should be described in specific and precise manner as used in trade deals in order for Korea Customs to be able to identify the nature of goods.
