Due to new Government legislation, UPS brokerage in Belarus is not currently able to undertake Customs clearance of import packages (all non-document shipments).Customs clearance is only able to be undertaken by an alternative Broker acting for the consignee. A National Strike for an undetermined period has been announced by the main labour unions in Nigeria, commencing on Monday 9 January 2012. Import volume for Nigeria will be held on arrival with the appropriate exception B1-Strike Exception. The release process will start as soon as UPS is able to recommence the movement of packages.
