Service update – Thursday 8th July
UPS have advised SendingParcels.com of the following service updates:
In Greece - A General Strike will take place in Greece, Thursday 8th July 2010. The entire public sector will be closed. The ports are also experiencing problems due to workers on strike. This is causing problems and delays in forwarding volume to and from the Greek Islands.
Due to the strike, no deliveries can be made to the Greek Islands and many roads will be closed for demonstrations thereby causing congestion on all major roads.Under these circumstances, UPS is making every effort to deliver and pickup all packages, but delays should be expected throughout all of Greece.
